PopYum: How did you feel the day you became a mom for the first time?
Jillian: Looking back, I was clueless! We had battled infertility for so long that we were just so happy and thankful for the opportunity to become parents.
PopYum: How did you discover PopYum?
Jillian: A friend DEMANDED I buy them. I'm not sure they would have been on my radar otherwise. A lot changes in 8 years and I could have never dreamed of a product so perfect.
PopYum: What tips would you give to a first time parent that you wish you knew when you had your first baby?
Jillian: Oh a lot, but most important - you as a mom will ALWAYS know best so trust that. Comparison is the thief of joy. Be willing to accept and sometimes ask for help!
PopYum: What do you think is the most challenging part of being a mom?
Jillian: I think with my first, the HARDEST thing for me was the realization of what "mom" really meant. Even with the most supportive partner, you're always on call. A break is never really a break because you're mom! Now, many years later with my second, 'that' part of being a Mom is second nature but balancing work and home while still staying present and providing the support that everyone needs is taxing. I love it and I prayed for it, but it's challenging.
PopYum: What’s your favorite thing about PopYum?
Jillian: We are a busy family and I love anything that makes my life easier! PopYum allows me or her sister to quickly feed Olivia mess free!
PopYum: What is your favorite part about becoming a mom?
Jillian: Family has always been important to me. But these girls give a purpose that I couldn't begin to put into words. I'm honored to watch them grow and become the humans that they are meant to be.
PopYum: What do you like to do for fun?
Jillian: I spend most of my day connecting with women across the country in efforts to build their confidence and dress their babies. I'm blessed to have the opportunity to call that work. Outside of that, I LOVE our family adventures! We're always trying to find something new to go and see.
PopYum: How do you find ‘me-time’ while raising your kids?
Jillian: I have to give credit to my husband here. He generally kicks me out of the house if he sees that I need some time to myself. I'm not sure I'd actually make it a priority if it wasn't forced. But I also find that waking up an hour or so before the house starts going has been a sanity saver.
PopYum: Do you have anything else about yourself, your family, your kids, or anything else that you’d like to share with PopYum friends and family?
Jillian: I'm not sure this is interesting, but we have lived all over the country in New Jersey, Georgia, Texas, Washington, and currently reside in Colorado Springs. Evelyn, our 8 year old, was a baby model with Baby Faces Atlanta and made it to several packing items with the Kidsii brands and acting affiliate with several small shops currently.
PopYum: Do you have any “mom hacks” or cool tips or tricks you’d like to share with the rest of PopYum Nation?
Jillian: Blue Dawn Soak will lift almost any food stain and the Magic Eraser Sheets will make shoes look new again!
