PopYum: Tell us about you!

Anya: Hi there! I’m Anya, a native bilingual Mexican influencer in the Houston area, 20 years and counting, as an on-air talent who developed my excellent communicator skills. People describe me as bubbly, authentic, versatile and energetic, I like to think they got me spot on. I’m also the CEO of a social media marketing company named Connection & Marketing.

PopYum: How did you feel the day you became a mom for the first time?

Anya: It’s a feeling I can’t put in words. What people say about maternity doesn’t compare to how it feels. For me, I was able to relate a little to how much God loves us.

PopYum: How did you discover PopYum?

Anya: I am that mom always looking for new things. Everything that makes my mom life easier I will buy 2 or 3 of. I discovered PopYum on social media.

PopYum: What tips would you give to a first time parent that you wish you knew when you had your first baby?

Anya: Enjoy! Although it feels like it’s a forever thing, this shall pass too.

PopYum: What do you think is the most challenging part of being a mom?

Anya: Balance. You want to be present, but have your personal time. You want to have your time but work. You want to work but want to be a present mom. And the cycle is always that.

PopYum: What’s your favorite thing about PopYum?

Anya: That is something I thought as a mom, but laughed about it because I thought it was impossible. That tells me there’s other moms out there looking for a product like this too.

PopYum: What is your favorite part about becoming a mom?

Anya: That you always discover new skills with each baby.

PopYum: Tell us about your baby!

Anya: Isaac Elian is an answered prayer. He is a very good baby. I can tell is going to be very smart as he gets older. I’m very happy to be his mom.

PopYum:  What do you like to do for fun?

Anya: Eat! I love visiting new restaurants in town.

PopYum: How do you find ‘me-time’ while raising your kids?

Anya: I scheduled my me time just like I do with everything else.

PopYum: Do you have anything else about yourself, your family, your kids, or anything else that you’d like to share with PopYum friends and family?

Anya: My husband and I have a very cute story. After being in a toxic marriage for almost 10 years, one day someone sent a cake with a card with no name. The story became viral on social media just like a Mexican telenovela. A year later the #cakeguy became my husband. A lot of women felt inspired by our story because they are stuck in a marriage like I was.
