PopYum: How did you feel the day you became a mom for the first time?
Haley: I remember being in such disbelief the first time I gave birth to my son! The first words after he was born was “is this real life?!”…It was such a surreal moment when the doctor and my husband who helped deliver set him on my chest.
PopYum: How did you discover PopYum?
Haley: I’m an Amazon shopper and love to browse for new products. I’m also a big fan of making my life easier and more efficient. When I came across PopYum, I immediately ordered it and fell in love with the ease and convenience the bottles offer!
PopYum: What tips would you give to a first time parent that you wish you knew when you had your first baby?
Haley: Something that I did my second time around having a baby that I wish I had done for my first was to remind myself that the newborn stage can be so hard, but it’s only a season. It doesn’t last forever and when it passes you’ll look back and realize it wasn’t so bad and you’d do it a million times over. The sleepless nights and exhaustion can make you feel like it’s never going to end, but you power through it and look back and realize what a rockstar you were!
PopYum: What do you think is the most challenging part of being a mom?
Haley: I personally am a working mama and I think balancing trying to be a good mother, spouse, and employee can be really challenging sometimes. It’s a lot to juggle, especially once you throw multiple kids into the mix.
PopYum: What’s your favorite thing about PopYum?
Haley: My favorite thing is that it’s one less thing I have to think about! When my babe wakes up for a night feeding, I grab a bottle and go, and with the push of a button and a few shakes, I’m ready to feed her!
PopYum: What is your favorite part about becoming a mom?
Haley: Watching my kids learn new things and grow as little humans is simply amazing. I could sit and watch them both all day, my son is at such a fun stage and the things he learns and retains every day never fails to amaze me.
PopYum: Tell us about your kids!
Haley: I have two kids! 2 under 2, actually. My son, Knox, will be 2 in July and my daughter Quinn is just a few days shy of being 3 months old! Knox loves shapes, colors, letters, animals, fire trucks, and playing with play dough. Quinn is so chatty lately and her daddy made her belly laugh for the first time last week!
PopYum: Tell us something about you! What do you like to do for fun?
Haley: I love interior design and decorating! I love how changing a few pieces of decor in a room in your home can really freshen up the space and make it feel like new! I also love taking photos- mostly of my kids as you can probably tell from my Instagram.
PopYum: How do you find ‘me-time’ while raising your kids?
Haley: I get a mani/pedi once a month that really refuels me! I know it’s just an hour or so of me time but if I stop and get a coffee along the way and just sit and relax without the kids or my phone, it goes a long way! My husband is a saint and makes sure I always get this time for myself when I need it.
PopYum: Do you have anything else about yourself, your family, your kids, or anything else that you’d like to share with PopYum friends and family?
My husband is a firefighter/paramedic and works 48 hours shifts, but when he’s not working, he plays Mr. Mom at home and has the kids all day on his days off when I’m working! We make a great team!
