PopYum: How did you feel the day you became a mom for the first time?
Porscha: I felt relieved and overjoyed to become a mother. I knew I wanted to raise my child to the best of my ability and make sure he never had to feel insecure or unsafe in any position when I’m there.
PopYum: How did you discover PopYum?
Porscha: I found PopYum through Amazon!
PopYum: What tips would you give to a first time parent that you wish you knew when you had your first baby?
Porscha: To any first time parents, something I wish I knew when I had my baby is that some days it’s going to be rough, but you have to remember they’re not giving you a hard time- they’re having a hard time. We’re here to comfort them, but it’s okay to take a step away for a moment to collect and calm yourself too.
PopYum: What do you think is the most challenging part of being a mom?
Porscha: The most challenging aspect of being a mom is probably the pressure from family members when you don’t do something the way they would do it. But, I try to remember it’s my baby and I raise them how I see it to be effective.
PopYum: What’s your favorite thing about PopYum?
Porscha: My favorite thing about PopYum is how easy they are to use on-the-go and overnight! Also they’re super easy to clean!
PopYum: What is your favorite part about becoming a mom?
Porscha: My favorite part of being a mom is watching my baby grow and learn to do all sorts of things whether it be hold items, pick his head up, try to crawl, hold his bottles, and things like that.
PopYum: Tell us about your baby Dustin!
Porscha: My baby is currently 6 weeks old, born on May 5th at 11:11am! His name is Dustin and he loves bathtime, but hates getting dressed!
PopYum: Tell us about you! What are your passions, talents, etc.?
Porscha: My passions are definitely reading and writing, and I plan on going to school to be a Kindergarten teacher!
PopYum: What do you like to do for fun?
Porscha: For fun, I like to go to car meets, travel, and go to parks and such on walks.
PopYum: How do you find ‘me-time’ while raising your kids?
Porscha: I don’t haha! Just kidding. When Dustin sleeps I try to fit in me-time.
PopYum: Do you have anything else about yourself, your family, your kids, or anything else that you’d like to share with PopYum friends and family?
Porscha: My family is just me, my boyfriend or also my baby’s dad Ian, and Dustin!
PopYum: Do you have any “mom hacks” or cool tips or tricks you’d like to share with the rest of PopYum Nation?
Porscha: One mom hack I would like to share with the PopYum Nation is definitely my trick for getting my baby to sleep for the night. Most babies like drives or walks, so my trick is to take him on a walk or car ride right before he has his last bottle before we sleep. Doing this makes him calm from the motion and then eating directly after tends to help him stay asleep for longer.
